Today I met a guy that truly amazed me with his story. We met by coincidence, but little did I know God would show me something simply amazing. As a people we pride ourselves on what our accomplishment are, how much money we got, how many cars we have and how nice looking our spouse is. We've manifested all we are in all we think we are. This young man, didn't have much, but he possessed something many Christians will never acquire: compassion and love. He shared with me the the most remarkable story of his wife's struggle with loosing her mom, dad, and having a stroke.
His wife is paralyzed on one side of her body. She also can't speak. Now this sounds like a typical story in life. One spouse go through some trials and the other steps in and care for the other. This story has a twist! This guy married his wife one year after her stroke. He has never really had a full conversation with her like most married couples. She can say a few words , but that's it. He introduced me to his wife. She can't speak very well, she can't use one arm and leg but she gets around the best she can and she believes God will one day heal her body! I was given the opportunity to pray with them. I ask if they had any special prayer need, she said no, and he just looked me in the eyes and said, "i pray for a financial blessing." As I was heading to my truck he told me, I love my wife with all my heart, and we're all we got. His love for his wife, reminds me of how God loves us. He loves us inspite of our disabilities.
Simply amazing
